Ditch the Diet and let's focus on rebuilding a healthy relationship with food and self!

It's not you, it's the culture we live in. We've all been there, the latest diet, the newest food craze, we begin to see ourselves as needing to be "fixed," as in something is not right with our bodies or our diets.  We may have certain food rules or beliefs that we adhere to when it comes to eating. Or maybe we've been on the diet train, over and over again to only have the weight come back and believe that it's our fault for not having enough willpower to stay disciplined. It’s easy to fall prey to body dissatisfaction and the newest food trend promising amazing results when you are constantly being bombarded by this information.

But then, it sneaks up on you; you find you can't keep up the facade of perfection and you find yourself preoccupied and consumed with food rules.

This vicious cycle may start with restrictive eating patterns (i.e. diets) which can lead to intense feelings of deprivation, thus leading to overeating, and an over consumption of food. Feelings of guilt, shame, embarrassment can take over and become overwhelming. The next thing you know, you are back into the latest diet and/or more food rules, different food rules, to make up for it.

The cycle starts over. The guilt and shame feel overwhelming and you start to believe you are powerless.

Have you ever thought, “Maybe I just can’t trust myself with food?”

It’s easy for your fears to start to eat away at you.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Working with our Dietitian’s, and feeding your body, mind, and spirit means reconnecting with that part of you that knows when, where, and how to eat for not just maximum health, but maximum empowerment and aligning with your true self.

Say No to diets! Say yes to loving food and self again!

Client Stories

"My experience working with Meredith has been incredible. I have constantly struggled with my weight/body issues for several years. After losing 40lbs with dieting and CrossFit I still felt those same struggles I always had. I was always stuck in a cycle of binge dieting and punishing myself when I thought I ate too much. Meredith has taught me to have power and peace over food.

I've learned that nutrition is the foundation for living a fuller life, but even more important, I learned to listen to my body and get away from the diet and "bad" food mentality.

Working with Meredith has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. She makes herself constantly available for any and all questions I have and she is one of the most encouraging people I know.

“Meredith and I have been working together now for several months and having had many years of “dieting” experience, I would highly recommend her! She is successfully educating me to unwind these restrictive rules that come along with “diet plans" and instead, comprehend the power of living with food eating mindfully and intuitively. Meredith is actually magical in her lessons and so understanding, compassionate, and non-judgmental. Her passion for nutrition is evident in her calm, thought-provoking suggestions. We have lots of ah-ha moments! My life is positively unfolding and no longer does eating and my relationship with food overwhelm me. I highly recommend her services!”

“Where to begin with these last nine months? When we started I was literally having a nervous breakdown about logging my food. When I began to log I was like I guess this isn't so bad and I immediately realized I had no clue as to what even equaled a portion size. I've come so far learning not only about nutrition, but also about myself as a whole. I'm so thankful for our meetings and reality checks. It's so important for an RD to understand that nutrition is not one size fits all and that's a concept Meredith grasps immensely. She goes above and beyond to not only be accessible but to constantly be on the lookout for things that benefit you as a patient. I've had my own struggles and frustrations but it has been indescribable to work with someone who preaches not only health at every size but also that success isn't measured exclusively in numbers. Whether you're stopping in for a one time session or working on continuous education, Meredith is an effective resource in helping to understand individual nutrition needs.”
